Surface EMG testing has been around
since the 1940's. It is widely used in research and scientific
investigation to "read" muscle activity. Today it is used to find
areas of abnormal muscle tension or spasm. Increased muscle tone or
spasm is usually found around areas of underlying spinal malfunction
known as "subluxation". Subluxations can occur due to trauma, chronic
poor posture, stress and others. Because subluxated spinal bones
can exist without symptoms, these space-age tool can locate the
problem areas to make correction easier.
